Firstly you need to fix the choke, very important, they won't start cold without it and until warmed up you still need full choke to restart it again. Once running you can turn the choke off but until it is warm you need full choke and I mean full choke

The front of the bonnet being lower shows it being the 8 Hp model and not the 10 / 11 HP model

I usually keep them as they use them in a ton of equipment and are a handy motor for a lot of projects.

After learning so much from this forum and spending nearly 20 years repairing lawn mowers as a hobby, it's finally time to declutter my garage.

I have several boxes of used spare parts that I'd like to give away free to someone who can put them to good use. I'd much rather see them reused than end up in the next council clean-up.

Most of the parts are for Briggs & Stratton engines with diaphragm-style carburettors, including:

- Starter coils
- Plastic carburettors
- Fuel tanks
- Mufflers
- Air filter assemblies

There are also parts for a Rover Suzuki 2-stroke engine, plus some older Briggs & Stratton metal carburettors and fuel tanks.

Not shown in the photos, but also included, are plenty of old Victa snorkels and a number of plastic carburettors in decent condition.

I'd like to give everything away as a single lot, as-is.

Thankyou for the detailed explanation.

Currently there isn't a spring to the front from the deck brake lever with brake pad, so that's an item on the list. Planning to run it from the same rod as which has the tab for the adjustment lever to the deck brake, with the idea the the spring act like a tendon on the ankle.
Hoping a deck height spring from a push mower covers that
Will play with the deck engagement lever by moving it to a different hole.
One thing, the deck brake is in the centre of the deck, can't seem to locate a hole for the spring to seat into, that's still to be worked on will find out when I pull it out.

Anyway I will keep everyone updated, hopefully I remember to take some happy snaps.
