There was be an update on Sunday morning 31/3/2025.

Primary Changes In This Release
PHP 8 support. UBB.threads now supports php 7.2 - 8.3.
All libraries and assets updated.
Reformatted and standardized all code.
Cleanup of UBB scripts, templates, and CSS files.
More bug squashing and layout updates.

We are now upto date with Server requirements fot the forum and you should notice te difference.

Please contact us at ODK if you have issues.
We would like to get this right - and confirm to changes

The forum upgrade is now complete.
The main difference for posting is that you now upload images via the
Attachment Manager ... using the full editing screen for replies.

The Attachment Manager controls images and documents.

Unfortunately, there is no placement preview.
All attachments will appear at the end of the post, and view-able after posting.

We have consolidated some of the pre-existing forums to create superforums which will make site navigation easier as well as adding new topics.

The new superforums are Repairs and Maintenance, Finding and Swapping, Collectors Corner and Restoring and Customising.

These new superforums are a work-in-progress, and some changes and fine tuning will be carried out as necessary.....We hope you enjoy the new layout.

When making a post, first select the particular forum from the superforums that you wish to post in.

Secondly, select your topic from the forum list and

Well we have just done another update to the forum which now brings us up to version 7.5.5.

Update Made adjustments to a variety of scripts to be compatible with PHP 5.3+.

Also added a new island which will show random pictures that members have posted on the forum.

Here is a list of new features for the forum:

1. Feature: Modified all gallery posts, so when viewing a picture it will give you the ubbcode for the thumbnail, medium and full sized images in the Post Description area. Also now displaying the size and dimensions of the full sized image.

2. Feature: Modified the image/file manager to display the max allowed size of images of files.

3. Feature: Added the online/offline indicator to the profile pages.

4. Feature: Added Page Jumpers to the bottom of individual private messages when they are multiple pages long.

5. Feature: When clicking the Use link on Saved Queries, it will now copy the saved description into the Description text box as well.

6. Feature: When a user changes their email in their profile a verification email will be sent to the new address. The account email will not be changed until the user clicks on the verification email.

7. Feature: Added blaaskaak's mod that allows you to search for users on the showmembers page, with a slight modification. Instead of just being able to search for users that start with a certain string, it will search for users that have the string anywhere in their username.

8. Feature: Added another default island to show the Top Posters in the Last 30 days in addition to the one that shows over all time.

9. Feature: The Permission to Delete any posts and Delete Topics have been split up. So Admins will now be able to specify that some moderators will be able to delete posts but not entire topics. The default permission for DELETE TOPICS will be the same as the current DELETE POSTS setting for each group upon upgrade.

10. Feature: Added a new option under Feature settings for setting the maximum width for images using the [img] tag. This uses browser scaling, as a quick way to keep large sized images from distorting the layout. Leaving this option empty will leave the images untouched so they display as they currently do.

11. Feature: Added blaaskaak's mod for a Today's Birthday Portal Island. Under Portal Settings there is an option to only include users online within a certain number of days. Added some extra code so this island is only rebuilt at the beginning of each day under normal conditions. It will also rebuild when a new user registers or somebody changes their profile.

12. Feature: Added a "Featured Member" portal island. This rebuilds every hour and selects a random member out of the database that isn't banned. Under Portal Settings there is an option to only include users that have been active in the last certain number of days.

This could take a few days to do because of the amount of information that is stored in the parts list and manuals area and others etc.

Providing we do not have any problems with the transfer, we are hoping that everything will be back up and running by the 11/07/08 Once again, we would like to thank all the members support in the past.

We have been busy getting everything going especially with the parts list and manuals section. There are still more to come as we are uploading new information all the time.

If you have any suggestions, we would really like to hear from you as to how we can improve how things work. We are still working on the help video section and are hoping to have things up and running in the near future. We did expect to have it up and running at the end of the month but it is taking a lot longer than we thought.

Once it is up, we will be emailing everyone. Then you can forward your comments and request for more video information to be uploaded in the future.

We have also just finished work on the new chat rooms (the link is under site links left side top of the forum). You will be able to click on this link and use your forum ID & Password to gain access to all rooms. You will also be able to chat privately with other members of the forum including myself at different times.
