Hi Guys - Recently acquired a "Victa Limited Edition Panther Deluxe" powered by a Tecumseh 6.5 engine. Runs well and smooth and cuts very cleanly. Only problem is trying to find any information or user or w/shop of parts manuals. Can anyone help with any info please ?

Hi Ric,
Is there anything in particular you need. Anything Tecumseh is fairly scarce in general, and the victa website will be useless for this machine.

Hi BigTed - Not looking for anything in particular at the moment. Just prepping for the time when something happens; I'd like to have OEM parts list and diagrams at hand. Looked at I.D. sticker - D.O.M. 1998 on 16th August.Was at local mowers repair getting some parts for another mower and asked about Tecumseh and they were quite rude and told me not to waste their time.

Partstree.com is a good source for your engine parts list. As for the Victa chassis parts list i think there's one here on the ODK site but you'll have to go for a hunt through the website, i can't recall where it is.

Rick, first thing I would ask is what is your desired purpose for it, to restore or to mow the grass. If it is just for mowing the grass I wouldn't worry too much about the motor till it gave you problems, then just put another motor on it,whatever yo can find, Briggs and Stratton, 2 stroke Victa, that is the good thing with those Victa bases. As long as the left hand corner where the handlebar is mounted to the chasis is not rusted out and you have a catcher for it you are good to go

See if you can find a Model Number on your machine, to match it exactly.

For engine servicing info, it would be helpful if you can find the engine model number. Should be a sticker on it somewhere.
