Ty I thinking I may have found a different's between Mark I,II and III base's.On the Mark I & 2 where the height adjuster spring attaches to the base.There is just the one pin coming off the base.On the Mark III there is that one pin as well as a guide pin as well.Here let me show you.




As you can see here they have only the one upright pin for the spring.The very dirty one is my original Mark I.The one with the crack on the side.The other one was my first VC the Mark II.




Now these ones have the two pins.Now the one that is still semi green you will remember that is the Mark III that I picked up last weekend.The grey is the one that I got from you.So can you remember if it was a Mark III.I'm thinking from my investigation it was.
